The goal of Shadow is to Devouring Plague as often as possible. To do that, you need to generate Shadow Orbs as fast as possible. Once you understand that, everything else will make sense. Since Shadow Word: Death and Mind Blast create Shadow Orbs, they are your Top Priority, interrupt everything else to cast them as often as possible. The highest DPS is Dracolyte but that is only in ultra towers as it takes time to get to the top dps and regular dungeons only last a couple seconds. Chloromancer, Neon ninja, Boomerranger, Candy barbarian, Pirate Captain, gunslinger are all top dps classes. Lunar Lancer, Tomb Raiser, Dino Tamer.

Shadow End (Japanese: ダークエンドDark End) is one of several Shadow moves available only in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Like other Shadow moves, it is forgotten and replaced with another move once the Pokémon is purified.
Effect
Shadow End deals damage, and the user takes recoil damage equal to half of its current HP. The recoil damage from this move is not prevented by Rock Head.
As Shadow Pokémon cannot be traded, and since Pokémon Contests do not exist in Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, Shadow End cannot be used in Contests.
