Oct 28, 2016  So I've heard lots of talk on the BiS Legendary for an Ele shaman. Lots of people are saying Pristine Proto-Scale Girdle is under performing, even though on paper it sounds like its the best one. Recently I picked up The Deceiver's Blood Pact and I've found it to be a huge dps increase and personally I would place it as our BiS. My main question is though, has anyone actually simmed every. Gear is one of the most important elements in WoW to strengthen your Elemental Shaman, providing massive amounts of stats as well as armor, procs, and set bonuses. In this guide, we will explain how to obtain the best gear for your Elemental Shaman in World of Warcraft: and how to check if a piece is BiS, an upgrade or just bad.

Below is our guide for prioritizing your abilities optimally. This should help give you a basic understanding of what to do and what's most important to focus on. Each rotation list is more of a 'priority list'--in real-time, you'll constantly be determining which ability to use next. Out of all abilities you have available, use the one highest up in the priority list.

  1. Keep Totem Mastery active
  2. Keep Flame Shock (refresh when <6 seconds until expire)
  3. Earth Elemental (See Note 1)
  4. Lightning Bolt (See Note 2)
  5. Earth Shock (See Note 3)
  6. Earth Shock (if >90 Maelstrom)
  7. Frost Shock (if Icefury and Master of the Elements are active)
  8. Frost Shock (if Icefury is active)
  9. Earth Shock (if >60 Maelstrom)
  10. Lightning Bolt (See Note 4)

Note 1: Only cast Earth Elemental when Fire Elemental is not already up and you are not using Primal Elementalist.

Note 5: Try to align Earthquake with Master of the Elements

  • Bloodlust Epic group cooldown. Use as directed by your party/raid leader.
  • Fire Elemental Cast with as many self-buffs as possible to maximize DPS.
